The metal research laboratory, which is a part of VELES-AGRO LTD. LLC, specializes in the examination of a wide range of metals — carbon, low-alloyed and alloyed steels, cast irons, and aluminum-based alloys for compliance with DSTU and the requirements of the STATE STANDARD.
We perform:
The analysis of the chemical composition of metals in the laboratory is carried out with the help of the latest spectrum analyzer manufactured in Germany, which allows you to analyze large-sized samples without destroying them and conduct research even in the absence of power supply. This spectral analyzer provides high speed and accuracy (up to 0.0001%) of metal analysis, with determination of the chemical elements included in its composition (up to 20 elements of Mendeleev’s table). Based on the results of the chemical composition study, our specialists will help determine which brand of metal the tested sample corresponds to.
We carry out complex studies of the mechanical characteristics of metals with the help of specialized equipment for conducting mechanical tests of metal:
Mechanical tests are carried out in order to identify the main mechanical characteristics of the studied samples. The obtained data make it possible to determine the quality of the input raw materials, to carry out control during the production process, and in case of damage, they make it possible to identify the reasons for the metal’s loss of its key properties.
Parameters measured during studies of the mechanical characteristics of metals:
Also, the laboratory carries out quality control of welded structures with the help of destructive control on a universal testing machine and metallographic studies of control welded joints.
All equipment and measuring equipment of the laboratory undergo annual metrological attestation and verification.
Laboratory of Metals Research LLC «VELES-AGRO LTD.» is accredited in the Register of Shipping of Ukraine (Testing Laboratory Accreditation Certificate No. САВЛ-22‒3‒53‒24 dated 06.09.2024) and in its work is guided by national and international standards regarding measurements and tests.
